Weibel Scientific presents record revenue of DKK 419 million in financial year 2021/2022
July 05, 2022
“We are delivering on a 5-year strategy with the goal of raising revenue to DKK 1 billion in the financial year 2025/26. In the same period, we will more than double the number of employees to 500. It is a very ambitious plan, which fits perfectly with Weibel’s DNA. With this year’s results, we are once again reminded that we will succeed when we set the bar high,” says CEO Frode Scott Nilsen.
Airspace surveillance and protection is high on the defense agenda in countries across the globe, and Weibel is experiencing a significant demand for their newly developed air defense radar XENTA. The advanced radar can detect drones the size of a fist more than 10 kilometers away, and it represents Weibel’s entry into new markets for critical infrastructure and air defense.
“We have invested heavily in the development of our new air defense radar, and it is clear from the interest we are experiencing that we have been two steps ahead of a great need in the market. The threat from drones is increasing every day, and we have developed a completely unmatched technology,” says CEO Frode Scott Nilsen.
The first XENTA radars will be delivered later this year, and in the fall of 2021, Weibel entered a partnership to integrate the drone radar into Thales’ global portfolio.
